She was a day tripper, a one way ticket yea
It took me so long to find out, and I found out
She's a big teaser, she took me half the way there

Tried to please her, she only played one night stands

Information
'Day Tripper' was a typical play on words by John. He wanted to show the
influence of the growing drug culture within a Beatles song. He was referring
to 'weekend hippies' that couldn't afford to be regularly tripped out,
like him. John said: "Day trippers are people that go on a day trip, right?
But (the song) was kind of...you're a weekend hippie. Get it?" The song
itself is about a girl who leads the singer on.
