And I Love Her

Lennon/McCartney
Album: A Hard Day's Night

BUY THIS CD AT AMAZON.COM

I give her all my love
That's all I do
And if you saw my love
You'd love her too
I love her

She gives me ev'rything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Information

The main idea for the song was to use a title that began in mid-sentence. Paul then wrote the verses and John helped him with the middle eight. Almost a decade later, Perry Como recorded a song entitled "And I Love Her So" which may have been inspired by the same idea of starting the title in mid-sentence. Paul has said that it wasn't written with anybody in mind but it is hard to believe that Jane Asher didn't inspire this song. John has described this song as Paul's first 'Yesterday'
