A Hard Day's Night
It's been a hard day's night, and I been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight
Owww!
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright
Information
The phrase "A Hard Day's Night" was said accidentally
by Ringo. In 1964, he said: "I came up with the phrase 'a hard day's
night'. It just came out. We went to do a job and we worked all day
and then we happened to work all night. I came out still thinking it
was day and said 'It's been a hard day ... looked around, saw it was
dark, and added ... 's night.'" John wrote the lyrics to this song on
the back of a first birthday card to his son Julian. Although Paul never
wrote any of the lyrics to this song, he explained that it was simply
saying that it had been a hard day's night and we'd been working all
day and you get back to a girl and everything's fine.
